WotLK Paladin new Talents & Spell

Qui sotto elenchiamo le modifiche apportate alla classe in WtLK:

Alliance Retribution - Seal of Martyr All melee attacks deal additional Holy damage equal to 35% of normal weapon damage, but the Paladin loses health equal to 10% of the total damage inflicted. Unleashing this Seal's energy will judge an enemy, instantly causing Holy damage at the cost of health equal to 33% of the damage caused. Horde gets also Vengeance counterpart (corrupt)

Retribution Heart of the Crusader (5 Points Required in Retribution, 5 Ranks) -- In addition to the normal effect, your Judgement spells will also increase the critical strike chance of all attacks made against that target by 1/2/3/4/5%.

Sanctified Retribution (20 Point Required in Retribution, 1 Rank) -- Damage caused by targets affected by Retribution Aura is increased by 2%.

Sheath of Light (20 Points Required in Retribution, 3 Ranks) -- Increases your spell power by an amount equal to 10/20/30% of your attack power and your critical healing spells heal the target for 20/40/60% of the healed amount over 12 seconds.

Sanctified Wrath (35 Points Required in Retribution, 2 Ranks) -- Increases the critical strike chance of Hammer of Wrath by 25/50%, reduces the cooldown of Avenging Wrath by 30/60 secs and while affected by Avenging Wrath 25/50% of all damage caused bypasses damage reduction effects.

Judgement of Wise (0/3) Rank. Judgement Spells restore mana up to 3 group or raid members totalling 20%/40%/60% of the damage caused.

Swift Retribution (40 Points Required in Retribution, 3 Ranks) -- Your Retribution Aura also increases casting, ranged and melee attack speeds by 1/2/3%.

The Art of War (40 Points Required in Retribution, 3 Ranks) -- Your damaging Crusader Strikes have a 5/10/15% chance to cause your next Judgement spell to cause double damage.

Righteous Vengeance (45 Points Required in Retribution, 5 Ranks) -- Increases critical damage bonus of all attacks by 3/6/9/12/15%

Divine Storm (50 Points Required in Retribution) -- An instant weapon attack that causes Holy damage to up to ${$i-1} enemies within $a1 yards. The Divine Storm heals up to 3 party or raid members totalling $s2% of the damage caused.


Full Paladin Patch Notes

Auras

* All Auras now affect all party and raid members within the area of effect.
* Retribution Aura damage increased and now gains damage based on Holy spell power.


Blessings

* Four blessings have been turned into "Hand" spells which no longer conflict with or remove other blessings. All Hand spells cost 6% of base mana.
o Blessing of Freedom renamed Hand of Freedom
o Blessing of Protection renamed Hand of Protection
o Blessing of Sacrifice renamed Hand of Sacrifice, with one rank which transfers 20% of the damage taken by the target to the caster for 12 seconds. 2 minute cooldown.
o Blessing of Salvation renamed Hand of Salvation, which reduces total threat of the target by 2% per second for 10 seconds while also reducing all damage and healing done by 10%.
* Blessing of Light and Greater Blessing of Light removed. Their effects have been folded into all relevant abilities.


Seals and Judgements

* Judgement of Justice will no longer prevent Fear effects, only prevent NPCs from fleeing (e.g. at low health). Seal of Justice/Judgement reduced to 1 rank with all the effects of the previous rank 2
* Seal of the Crusader has been removed. The effects of Judgement of the Crusader have been folded into all relevant abilities.
* Seal of Vengeance damage over time effect duration increased to 18 seconds.


Miscellaneous Abilities and Spells

* Avenging Wrath no longer causes Forebearance, damage increase reduced to 20%, now increases healing done by 20%.
* Divine Intervention cooldown reduced to 20 minutes.
* Divine Protection and Divine Shield now cost 3% of base mana.
* Hammer of Justice now costs 3% of base mana.
* Hammer of Wrath is now considered a Retribution spell, moved from Holy, mana cost reduced, missile speed increased, now usable on targets below 35% health.
* Holy Wrath is now instant cast, causes a 3 second stun, cooldown reduced to 30 seconds, radius reduced to 10 yards.
* Lay on Hands no longer drains all mana, cooldown reduced to 20 minutes.
* Righteous Fury now increases threat caused by Holy damage by 90%. (instead of all holy spells)
* Turn Undead (ranks 1 and 2) removed. Turn Evil now granted at level 24, mana cost changed to 9% of base.


Holy Talents


* Divine Intellect moved to tier 2, increases total Intellect by 3/6/9/12/15%.
* Healing Light moved to tier 2.
* Holy Shock range changed to 20/40 yards when used on enemies/friends respectively, cooldown reduced to 6 seconds.
* Illumination moved to tier 3.
* Improved Concentration Aura moved from the Protection tree to tier 4 in the Holy tree.
* Improved Seal of Righteousness moved to tier 1, renamed XXX, now affects Seal of Righteousness, Seal of Vengeance and Seal of Corruption.
* Pure of Heart reduced to 2 ranks, now reduces duration of Curse and Disease effects by 25/50%.
* Sanctified Light now also increases the critical chance of Holy Shock.
* Spiritual Focus moved to tier 1.
* Unyielding Faith moved to tier 2.


Protection Talents


* Anticipation moved to tier 1, now increases chance to dodge by 1/2/3/4/5%.
* Avenger's Shield cast time reduced to .5 seconds, duration increased to 10 seconds.
* Divine Strength (Holy) moved to tier 1 in the Protection tree.
* Holy Shield cooldown reduced to 8 seconds. (typo?)
* Improved Devotion Aura moved to tier 4, reduced to 3 ranks, now increases armor of Devotion Aura by 17/34/50% and increases all healing done to units affected by Devotion Aura by 1/2/3%.
* Improved Hammer of Justice now reduces cooldown by 10/20/30 secs.
* Improved Righteous Fury threat bonus folded into base spell, talent still reduces all damage taken by 2/4/6%.
* Redoubt moved to tier 2.
* Toughness moved to tier 3.
* Stoicism moved to tier 2, now reduces duration of Stun effects by 10/20/30% and reduces chance your spells will be resisted by 10/20/30%.


Retribution Talents

* Conviction now increases critical chance with all spells and melee attacks.
* Divine Purpose now reduces chance to be hit by spells and ranged attacks by 1/2/3%.
* Improved Sanctity Aura renamed Sanctified Retribution, now causes all units affected by Retribution Aura to cause 2% more damage. ( Sanctity Aura removed.)
* Improved Seal of the Crusader renamed Heart of the Crusader and the effects now apply to all Judgement spells.
* Repentance mana cost changed to 9% of base, duration increased to 1 minute (10 second PvP duration), now usable against Demons, Dragonkin, Giants, Humanoids and Undead.

Ho preso a cuore il progetto di Derek, ovvero un sito (per ora, un blog) che ha come obbiettivo l'essere un punto di informazione e di riferimento per tutti i paladini, retri, holy o protection che siano.

Reckoning e Crusader strike. Sbav.
Per quanto riguarda Judgement of the Wise, sono indeciso se metterlo o no, perché ritengo sia necessario un minimo di testing per vedere quanto mana consumerà effettivamente il nuovo paladino.
Il Guardian's Favor l'ho messo anche se verrà sicuramente rivisto (il Blessing of Protection e il Blessing of Freedom sono state trasformate in Hand of Protection e Hand of Freedom ora), e considerando che è possibile che comunque andrà a influenzare le due nuove spell, e sicuramente ciò è più preferibile di un +2% dodge o... due punti in redoubt.

Pensavo a questa spec per le 2v2, principalmente.

Post Blu sul pala in Wotlk

Avrete tutti notato che non si sono ancora i nostri talenti... perchè?
Beh questi due post blu ci danno un'idea sull'argomento.

Quite honestly one of the reasons we saved paladins for last is because there is a lot we wanted to change with them. Paladins are changing probably more than any other class. The tiny little bit you heard at the WWI is just the beginning.

The discussion about a new healing spell was just to say yes, we think paladins need another healing mechanic. It isn’t finished yet. We don’t want to just hand them a thinly disguised druid or priest spell. We also want paladins to tank more actively and want retribution paladins to have a little better control over their damage without the bursts feeling quite so random. (And no, that’s not all we’re looking at).

It’s all coming. It’s just a lot of work. Try to stay positive. Everyone in the alpha was invited because they have a close connection to someone at Blizzard. You’re here because we value your feedback.


That’s a fair question. We knew we were going to make 3 pretty sweeping changes to classes in general that would all affect paladins. First we changed the way healing and damage stats work. Second, we changed the way party vs raid buffs worked. Third, we changed how much damage a tank is expected to deliver as well as reworking some of our itemization theories in general.

We figured it was easier to tackle those issues on comparatively easy classes like the warrior and priest before figuring out how we were going to have to change the paladin. Hunters got pushed to the back for a similar reason — we were overhauling how their pets worked and needed to nail those changes first before figuring out their new abilities and talents.

We still feel like we’re ahead of where we were on Burning Crusade with a more experienced team. So we’re not yet panicked about having enough testing time.

Crusader Strike Favicon ed altre news

Nuove aggiunte al blog:

-la favicon con l'immagine della spell in WoW (si la favicon dai... l'immagine accanto all'indirizzo del sito nella barra di navigazione)
-I menu link spariti con il cambio del tema, cercherò di aggiungere quanti più link potrò in tempi brevi.

Queste le modifiche annunciate.
Particolarmente interessante la divisione dei bless in due categorie, i long term (BoM BoL BoS BoW BoK BoSanc) e gli short-term (BoSac BoF BoP). Risulta essere quindi un ottimo buff in PvP e in particolar modo in Arena, in PvE potremo tenere Sacrifice fisso su tank oltre che non dover ribuffare i caster nabbi dopo averli salvati con un BoP.
Per quel che riguarda la nuova spell healing si sa questo:
Hand of Purity: Provides preemptive reactive healing on the target, similar to a single target version of Prayer of Mending

Ristrutturazione...

Ho cominciato a ristrutturare ieri, qualcuno forse se ne sarà accorto.
Il blog è quindi in fase di transizione, i menu con i linbk laterali verranno ripristinati a breve, nel frattempo vado a linarvi le novità:
-nuovo tema grafico (giochiamo a wow giralamoda mi pare giusto che l'occhio voglia la sua parte), di cui a breve cambierò testata in stile paladin.
-Pulsante Search per poter accedere rapidamente ai contenuti del blog.
-Eliminazione del frame di navigazione di blogger

2.4.2 PTR Patch Notes

Patch di bugfix e di uscite della Season 4:

-Flash of Light and Holy Light will now work properly with castsequence macros.
Seal of the Crusader: This ability now increases the damage dealt by Crusader Strike by 40%.
-Crusader Strike (Retribution) will now properly receive a damage increase from Seal of The Crusader.
-Talent: Precision (Ranks 1-3) will no longer improperly display daggers and staves as a weapon class in the tooltip.
-Paladins that already have Apprentice Riding skill can now properly learn Summon Warhorse from the trainer.

Nulla di che la modifica al SotC è in realtà un fix per eliminare la perdita di dps del CS.

2.4 Fury of the Sunwell

Queste le modifiche nella 2.4 per quel che riguarda la nostra classe:

Paladins
-Avenger’s Shield, Holy Shield and Holy Shock: Casting lower ranks of these spells is now properly penalized like other healing and damage effects.
-Avenger’s Shield: This ability will no longer jump to secondary targets which are under the effect of crowd-control spells that break on taking damage. I.e. Polymorph, Sap, etc.
-Crusader Strike: This ability will no longer refresh the Healing Way buff from the Shaman talent.
-Illumination: The mana energize from this talent no longer has a chance to set off other triggered effects.
-Holy Shock: The healing, damage, and mana cost of this spell have all been increased.
-Judgment of the Crusader: It is no longer possible to have icons for two different ranks of Judgment of the Crusader appear at the same time when judged by multiple Paladins.
-Judgment of Wisdom: Some abilities (such as Frostbolt) were not triggering the mana energize effect from this spell. This has now been fixed.
-Resistance Auras: It is no longer possible for two Paladins in the same party to make it appear that players have two of the same resistance aura active.
-Righteous Defense: This spell will now always be castable on friendly npcs.
Seal of Blood: This ability will no longer cause spell pushback for the Paladin with this seal active.
-Sense Undead- Now persists after death.
-Turn Undead(Rank 3):This spell has been reworked and has been renamed to “Turn Evil”. It will now work on Demons in addition to Undead. Turn Evil is subject to diminishing returns, and lasts 10 seconds in PvP.

JoW, Judge of Wisdom

Riporto e traduco uno studio fatto da alcuni theorycrafter di Elitist Jerks.com sui benefici portati al raid dal Judge od Wisdom che grazie al pala Crittadin rimane costantemente attivo sul boss.

Assumiamo, per semplicità, un 50% del proc rate del JoW. Assumiamo inoltre, sempre per semplicità, un 100% di hit rating e la perfezione delle rotation dei dpser a 0 di latency.
Questi calcoli includono spell e abilità che fanno proccare JoW.
Ogni Haste effects, sia passivo (+Haste rating) che talentato (Flurry) che da item proc (Dragonspine Trophy), non sono considerati ai fini del calcolo.

Benefit

Molti Raid Leader ci chiedono spesso perchè dovrebbero portare un Crittadin in raid.
Il ruolo del paladino anche da DPS è quello di buffer, i bonus che apporta infatti sono i seguenti:

- 1 aggiuntivo buff da pala in raid (BoM, BoW, BoS, Bok, Bol), non diamoli per scontati
- Improved Blessing of Might che porta il bonus di AP a 264
- Improved Seal of the Crusader buff del 3% crit che ricevono tutti i dps del raid sul target giudicato, oltre ad aumentare i danni holy del pala retri e eventualmente di un pala tank se la vostra gilda ne fa uso (più aggro)
- Refresh costante dei Seal giudicati dagli altri paladini in raid (JoL, JoW, JoC) tramite Crusader Strike, bonus che riceve ogni dps del raid sul target. Per poter quantificare il bonus del JoW vi consiglio di dare un'occhiata a quest'altro articolo
- Improved Sanctity Aura che aumenta del 2% la dps del gruppo del pala Crittadin
- Un BoP aggiuntivo a disposizione del raid

A bassi livelli di equip il pala crittadin si mantiene su una DPS discreta.
Tuttavia l'alto numero di talenti bonus percentuali fa scalare notevolmente le stat rispetto ad altre classi.

In alcuni la scelta è tra due enchant principalmente se avete hit già cappata o meno, in qualsiasi caso sono sempre motivate le differenze.

Talenti

La scelta dei talenti retribution in PvE non è così complessa.
Queste sono le spec PvE più usate:

Full Crittadin (hit cappata): Link

Questa spec sfrutta i talenti holy per far scalare Strength e Intellect e si può permettere di prendere tutti i bonus PvE presenti nel ramo retribution.
Questa spec può essere usata solo se avete già cappato hit.

Full Crittadin (hit non cappata): Link

Questa spec rinuncia a al Pursuit of Justice e a far far scalare Int, tuttavia raggiunge precision per cappare più facilmente hit.
Mantiene cmq tutti i bonus del ramo retribution in PvE.

Precision & Blessing of King: Link

Questa spec sacrifica il BoM per il BoK.
Da usare solo se siete l'unico paladino a poter buffare king. In aggiunta acquisisce i bonus del Guardian's Favor, sempre comodi in PvE.

Le spec PvP sono invece più complesse e variano in base al vostro equip e al Brachet nel quale giocate.

Holy Crittadin: Link

Questa spec introduce la resistenza al fear del ramo holy, inoltre cerca di aumentare la quantità di mana e di risparmiare dell'utilizzo.

Stunnadin: Link

Lo Stunnadin sacrifica un pò di dps per una maggiore sopravvivenza e migliora il CD dell'HoJ.

Hybrid: Link

Questa spec mantiene il 10% a Strenght, aumenta l'hit, migliora i cd del BoP e del BoF, diminiusce i danni ricevuti con l'RF e infine aggiunge il BoK come buff.

Introduzione

The Paladin is a Holy Warrior hybrid class


Questo si leggeva nelle guide durante il D-1.
Dopo 4 anni il ramo Retribution è ancora lontano dall'essere completo.
Tuttavia vedremo di buttare giù una guida che terremo aggiornata con le future modifiche a questo ramo.

Il paladino Retribution, per cominciare, è basato su percentuali.
Elenco le percentuali che saranno applicate ad ogni paladino Retribution self-buffed in combat.

+10% Strength (Divine Strength)
+10% Holy Damage (Sanctity Aura)
+3% Damage (Crusade)
+2% Damage (Imp Sanctity Aura)
+15% Damage (Vengeance)
+6% Melee/Seal of Command Damage (Two Handed Specialization)

Assumiamo, per semplicità, che riceviate tutta la vostra AP da Str, e che la vostra AP garantisca una weapon dps uguale al dps base della tua arma.
Riceverete:
5% (dato che è il 10% bonus del 50% del tuo contributo al dps melee) + 3% +2% +15% +6% = 31% bonus damage su Auto Attack e Crusader Strike
5% + 10% + 3% +2% +15% +6% = 41% bonus damage sul Seal of Command proc.
10% + 3% + 2% +15% = 30% bonus damage su Judgment of Command, Consecration, Exorcism e Holy Wrath.
Infine, se le modifiche della 2.3.2, verranno confermate per il nuovo Crusader Strike modificandolo al 110% del danno base dell'arma (che ha già aggiunto i modificatori sotto riposrtati):
5% +3% +2% +15% +6% = 31% di aumento per il basic melee.
Allora Crusader Strike è 110% quindi è = 131% * 1,1 = 144.1% del weapon damage per la base del danno del Crusader Strike, ora dato che è anche il CS è un melee strike riceve i bonus da Vengeance e Improved Sanctity Aura:
144.1% * 1.17 (15% + 2% are additive) = ~169% della base weapon damage durante normali condizioni di DPS.

Tutto questo solo con i talenti. Ora sapete quanto scala la DPS del pala Retribution con il gear.

Tutto questo prima di Avenging Wrath ovviamente.
